Tourism is one of the sectors affected by the war in Europe, due to the enormous variety of subsectors that have to function in a balanced way so that tourists can enjoy their holidays. These are some points that we distinguish from the beginning of the conflict:
Increase in all supplies.
The drastic increase in the price of oil will directly affect most supplies such as electricity, water, gas. Around the world, inflation is rising, and with it travel and other non-basic expenses are falling.
Fall of luxury tourism.
Luxury tourism will be one of the most affected by the current situation, for a simple reason: in general, Russian tourists spend more.
Traveler reduction
Flying is more expensive than ever. IATA (International Air Transport Association) announced that airlines raise their fares as a result of rising oil prices.
The main affected by this conflict is the Ukrainian people, but in today’s deeply interconnected world, what happens in one corner ends up affecting the rest, and the tourism sector will have to survive to this war that we hope end now.
